This date cultivar is mostly cultivated in Jam, Bushehr Province, in Haji Abad, Hormozgan Province, in Behbahan, Khuzestan Province, and in Fasa, Fars Province. This type is of high quality and is very sweet. In regard to the size, it is one the smallest varieties of date in the country. It is called “Khassui” (also spelled “Khase”) in Fasa and Behbahan, and has a high capacity to be preserved i.e., a long shelf life.
